VICTORINOX Original SWISS ARMY© Knives

With 100 years of ingenous design, Master Cutler Karl Elsener built the Swiss Military a multifunctional pocketknife in Ibach, Switzerland 1891, the Soldier's Knife. Early 20th century, Karl adopted his mother's name, Victoria and the legendary Cross & Shield of the Swiss Military as his trademarks. With the implementation of stainless steel in all Victoria knives, the French word Inoxydable (stainless) was incorporated into the name - today recognized as Victorinox. The Officer's Knife became hugely popular with the American GI's during the World War II. As popularity increased so did the number and diversity of tools. The Officer's model has expanded to over 100 combinations, maintaining the same high standards quality. Victorinox Original Swiss Army Knives are found in a variety of extraordinary places; from NYC Museum of Moderm Art's Permanent Collection to NASA space explorations.
